Ponisio Lab
The Ponisio Lab is part of the Institute of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Oregon, led by entomologist and data scientist Dr. Lauren Ponisio and her research team. The lab performs research on biodiversity, specifically pertaining to wild bees and promoting native pollinator populations.
In efforts to explore the relationship between riparian zones, wildfire disturbance, and pollinator populations, the Ponisio lab has partnered with ELP and Whitewater Ranch.
The primarily collaborative project being worked on aims to further the Ponisio Lab's multi-year study on floral enhancement and pollinator promotion in post-fire clear-cut ecosystems. More information about our work on this project can be found in our informational section on Promoting Pollinators.
